Colby Riggins

My name is Colby Riggins and I am a resident of Martin County. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Math Education in 2009 and Masters of Arts in Education (MAEd) in 2020 from East Carolina University. Since then, I have added AIG licensure in 2022. I became National Board Certified in 2017 and re-certified in 2022. I have been working in education for 16 years. I began my career as a highschool math teacher, but I have taught middle and college math courses. In addition to teaching, I have been an instructional coach and AIG Coordinator/Teacher. Outside of school, I enjoy painting, the beach, traveling the world, spending time with family and friends, and my sweet Maltipoo, Lollipop. I’m excited to be a part of the NERSBA team and look forward to creating meaningful, positive relationships with both the staff and students.
