Scholars Participate in Field Experience at Oregon Inlet
The field experience taken by NERBSA scholars to Oregon Inlet was to see what creatures live in different environments. Scholars went to two sites. The first site was at the estuary. There scholars had to use the cast net, go through the water and catch whatever came in the net. Some of animals that were caught included: jellyfish, pipefish, horseshoe crab shell and minnows. The beach was the second site. At this site, scholars caught: ghost crabs, horseshoe crab shell, sand fleas, clams and mermaid’s purse.
