English II Studies Julius Caesar
Each of Mrs. Slade's English II classes was involved in a Socratic Seminar session about the Shakespearian play Julius Caesar on April 28. We discussed the events that happened in each Act during our reading and then we shared questions, comments and concerns about themes we discovered in our reading and any questions we still had about the text. We also made real world connections, textual connections, and explored universal themes in Julius Caesar. We concluded our Socratic Seminar with a toga party, complete with togas and lots of refreshments. Overall, we agreed that you should never betray someone's trust or stab them in the back because it will come back to haunt you, literally.
