Scholars Tour the USCG Station
All 9th grade scholars recently had the opportunity to tour the US Coast Guard Station in Elizabeth City. In the morning, scholars were given the opportunity to tour the C130 Aircraft which is used for surveillance and rescue missions and the HH-60T Medium Range Recovery Helicopter. In the afternoon, scholars were able to see the swimmer training facility which is used to train enlisted men and women for rescue missions and escape should their plane crash or their boat sink. We appreciate this opportunity and what the men and women of the US Coast Guard do to protect our country and save lives!
